Frequently Asked Questions
Want to use a buyer's agent but have some questions?
We totally get it. Let us put your mind at ease!
Are you licensed?
YES! In order to operate as a buyer's agent in Western Australia, you must be licensed in Western Australia (or listed on the WA 'Mutual Recognition' register) in order to negotiate on property price and conditions on behalf of a buyer. Without this, you can only be referred to as a 'property finder', who isn't permitted to negotiate on behalf of buyers buying property in WA (even if the buyer is located in another state, it is where the property is being purchased that matters). If a buyer's agent is not licensed to operate in WA and something goes wrong with your property transaction, you won't be protected by the legislation that governs all real estate transactions in WA, the Real Estate and Business Agents Act 1978.
